Belfast - "I have always been drawn to graphite and pen and ink sketches, those quick studies that often precede finished work.
It is those sketches that are the inspiration for this work. Some of my images are original; some have been borrowed from vintage images collected at book sales and auctions. All are painted by my hand.
I am an illustrator, my canvas – ceramic bisque. Recently I have expanded my artistic vision to include having my images printed on 100% cotton tea towels. From a friendly goat to a bear looking longingly at a bee to the incredible Ruth Bader Ginsburg, these towels bring smiles.
There is satisfaction knowing that my art will not simply hang on a wall (says the woman who has numerous portraits hanging on hers) but will be used ….. art that may be used daily."
