The poplar leaf is carved out of a single piece of poplar wood and the base is cherry.

The leaf balances on its tip with a ripple radiating out from the point at which it comes into contact with the base. Give the leaf a spin and the sculpture becomes dynamic as the leaf rotates on its axis.
