Monroe - Jeff Barrett has been an artist for most of his life. After spending the early part of his career working in a Denver art glass studio, Barrett and his wife Cindy moved to the Colorado-New Mexico border and established Whistling Bird Designs, which specialized in folky wood carvings and sculpture. Moving to Maine a decade later, Barrett continues to create his whimsical folk-art sculptures incorporating Maine themes such as fish, lobsters, and gulls.
