Travel Notes: Paintings by Henry Isaacs
This book considers Henry Isaacs' approach to painting: he makes many small paintings which he calls "notes." Isaacs doesn't work from photographs but relies only on the many small paintings he makes on site. This book has an in-depth text by art critic and art historian Daniel Kany that discusses Isaacs' approach in the context of art history. The book also includes dozens of color plates and many accompanying stories told by Isaacs about specific paintings.
